What this website keeps, and doesn’t.
This page is about the website only. Your therapy records are kept separately, in a secure system built for health information. Effective October 29, 2026.
What the website collects
- Free call requests: your name, email, and optionally your phone number, town, preferences and how you found Kara. The form has no space for clinical details, on purpose.
- Booking a call: your name, contact details and the time you picked.
- Group interest lists: your name and email, and which group you asked about.
- Professional requests: the details a colleague chooses to send.
- Payments: handled by Stripe through a secure checkout. Card numbers never touch this website.
- If you tick the text message box: your phone number and a record of your agreement: the date and time, the exact wording you agreed to, the page, and your IP address and browser.
What it doesn’t do
- No advertising or social media tracking pixels.
- No selling or sharing of your information.
- No AI tools reading what you send.
- The site remembers which page you arrived on, only for your visit, so Kara can tell which directory listings are working. It is not tied to you.
Where it’s kept
Requests are stored in the practice’s private website database and emailed to Kara. Declined requests are deleted automatically after 180 days. Records of text message agreements are kept as proof of what was agreed, even after you opt out.

- Sea Grape Labs: the practice’s website provider, for forms, email and scheduling tools.
- Cloudflare: website hosting and storage.
- Stripe: card payments.
- Twilio: text message delivery.
- Resend: email delivery.
Text messages
Text messages are optional and are only sent if you tick the box on the contact form. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Texts are about your inquiry, scheduling, appointment reminders, and related customer-service communications, and never include anything about your health or your therapy. There are no promotional texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance, or contact Kara at 617-249-4419 or [email protected]. Kara Katz, LLC does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf, such as our text message provider, to deliver messages, maintain security, verify consent, and comply with applicable legal and carrier requirements. These providers are not authorized to use this information for their own marketing.
Email and texts are not fully private
Regular email and text messages are not fully private. Please don’t send details about your health or your situation through the website, email or text. Kara will talk with you about the safest way to share information once you begin working together.
